The 4 C’s stands for Chicks with Cancer who Coffee & Chat
We are a local support and social group for women who have experienced a cancer diagnosis.
Originally established in 2007 by Nillumbik Community Health Service, we have since become independent and continue to grow.
The group is made up of women in our community who are looking for a support network
of other women with similar experiences & who can come together to support one another
and share their thoughts and experiences with other women who know how they feel.
The 4 C’s are a recognised Cancer Council support group
AIMS OF THE GROUP:
*Develop a network of support for women affected by cancer
*Provide a welcoming & positive environment for new members
*Ensure a friendly, supportive and confidential environment to discuss experiences and concerns
*Allow members to provide each other with support and encouragement based onshared experiences
*Provide a social outlet
*Maintain communication with members via regular e-mails, phone calls &social media
The 4 C’s meet on a regular basis to give each other encouragement and friendship
in a supportive and confidential environment and we do this with:
*Informal discussions that allow members to share their experiences, thoughts and feelings
*Members are free to listen and observe or to contribute to any discussion
*Guest speakers on various topics
*Workshops on various topics
